LAW OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA

MAKING AMENDMENTS IN THE LAW OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA ON THE “REGULATIONS OF THE NATIONAL COMMITTEE ON TELEVISION AND RADIO”
Adopted on December 24, 2004

Article 1.To add the Article N 831 with the following contents into the Chapter 9 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on the “Regulations of the National Committee on Television and Radio” (dated December 28, 2001, N HO-293, henceforth the Law):

“Article N 831. The broadcasting of tobacco or tobacco products by TV and Radio companies, as well as direct or indirect usage or show of tobacco or tobacco products during the Children’s and Teenager’s TV and Radio programs originates:

Definition of a penalty in amount of 100 to 120 times of defined minimum salary.
Repeating of the same violation for the second time within a year after using the administrative penalties originates:

Definition of a penalty in amount of 150 to 200 times of defined minimum salary.”

Article 2.The current law comes into force from the 30th day after the official publication of the law.
