“Analytical review of the tobacco control policy in Armenia 2005-2007” was conducted and published by the Center for Health Services Research and Development of the American University of Armenia in 2008 with support from the Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation Armenia. “Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence” guide for Armenian health professionals was translated and published in the framework of tobacco control policy project implemented by the American University of Armenia in partnership with the Armenian Public Health Union and the Armenian Public Health Association with support of the Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation Armenia. “Collection of Tobacco Control Projects in Armenia, 2004-2006” was published on the initiative of the Armenian Public Health Alliance (ArmPHA) with support from the Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation. The brochure introduces anti-tobacco projects implemented by local non-governmental organizations, including members of the Coalition for Tobacco Free Armenia. [Arm]

The first Armenian documentary film on tobacco issues “Life Without Tobacco” was produced by Shoghakat TV Company in cooperation with the Armenian Public Health Alliance tobacco control expert team. The financial support was provided by the Open Society Institute.
The film was first aired on the National TV Channel on World No Tobacco Day 2005.

Baby monitor.
This social advertisement on hazards of secondhand smoke was originally produced for the Massachusetts Health Department by Arnold Worldwide. In 2006, Arnold Worldwide Partners (Ed Eskandarian, Chairman and CEO) has agreed to adapt the “Baby Monitor” at no cost for use in Armenia.
